It’s hard to believe that another wonderful school year has come to a close. Looking back, we are so proud of all that our students have achieved. This year has been filled with growth and countless memorable experiences.

This term, the children enjoyed many exciting opportunities both in and out of the classroom. A particular highlight was our gardening sessions in Tory Top and Clashduv Gardens, where the children loved getting hands-on with planting, exploring nature, and learning about the environment. These sessions provided wonderful opportunities for learning, teamwork, and outdoor fun!

We were also delighted to take part in GAA skills sessions with The Barrs GAA Club, where the children enthusiastically developed their sporting skills while building confidence and teamwork. Our yoga sessions with Karen were another favourite activity, helping us to relax, focus, and enjoy movement while focusing on our breathwork.

We continued to enjoy our visits to the library and the park, giving the children opportunities to explore the local community and develop their independence. We were especially lucky to enjoy these outings in the beautiful sunshine.

Integration continued to be a hugely positive part of school life this year. We were particularly proud of Izzy and Odhran, who participated in the Tools of the Trade project with UCC in fourth class. Their involvement in this exciting initiative culminated in a special visit to City Hall, where they had the opportunity to see their work proudly displayed as part of the project exhibition. It was a wonderful achievement and a memorable experience for all involved.

We finished the year with lots of fun, laughter, and special moments together, making the most of the sunshine and enjoying a fantastic end to an amazing school year. We look forward to seeing what exciting adventures lie ahead next year!!
