South Lee Educate Together

Principal’s Welcome

Dear Parents & Guardians

South Lee Educate Together National School is a new primary school that opened in August 2019 on the grounds of Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, Tramore Road, Cork. We strive for excellence in everything that we do. We are passionate about education and believe that a child learns best in a supportive environment. This involves partnership with the parents of our school. We implement best practice based on experience, evidence based programmes and the latest educational research.

At South Lee ETNS, children are at the heart of everything we do. Our school is an active learning environment that is child-centred and where children are safe, happy, confident, engaged, respected and not afraid to make mistakes or ask questions. This is achieved by using a relationship based approach where positive relationships are built between the school, children and parents but also where pupils and parents voices are heard.

Learning is an on-going process, both for the pupils and adults in our school community. Every experience a child has is an opportunity to learn and at South Lee ETNS, we strive to create an environment where a child can Learn Anywhere, Learn Anytime (LALA) . Our school emphasises discovery based learning. We also hope that the school will be a learning centre for the wider community.

Go raibh maith agaibh,

David Cashman, Principal,
