As we come to the end of another great term, we are delighted to look back on all the fun, learning, and progress the children have made. In January, we had a very exciting trip to the panto at the Opera House. The children loved the music, laughter, and lively atmosphere. It was a really memorable day out for everyone.
We have really enjoyed spending time with our mainstream classes and deepening our friendships. These experiences have been so positive, and it’s been fantastic to see the children engaging so well with their peers. We also really enjoyed taking part in Friendship February, where we had lots of opportunities to connect with other classes. The children took part in a range of lovely activities, from shared games to creative projects, which helped to build and strengthen friendships in a fun and relaxed way. It was wonderful to see everyone engaging, working together, and enjoying time with their peers.
One of the highlights this term has been our swimming sessions in Churchfield. The children have shown fantastic enthusiasm in the water, growing in confidence and ability with each visit. We are so proud of the effort they’ve put in and the progress they’ve made. Back in school, our yoga sessions with Karen have been going really well. The children have enjoyed the chance to stretch, relax, and take some calm time during their week, and it’s been lovely to see them becoming more comfortable and engaged each week.
We’ve had lots of fun baking in class, too. The children did a brilliant job following recipes, working together, and of course, enjoying the results! It’s been a great way to build independence and confidence in a fun, hands-on way. Our theme of Space was a huge success this term and sparked lots of curiosity and interest across different subjects. The children loved learning about planets, stars, and astronauts, and showed great creativity in their work.
It has been a busy, fun-filled term with lots of lovely moments along the way. We are very proud of all the children, everything they have achieved, and the progress they continue to make.
