As the school year winds down, 4th Class have been taking a look back at what has been a busy and brilliant final term. There was plenty of learning, loads of creativity, and more than a few fun surprises along the way!
Winners of the AbbVie STEM Prize!
We were absolutely delighted to find out that we’d won the AbbVie STEM Prize this term! The class put in a huge amount of effort over a few months, so to see that recognised was a real buzz. It just goes to show that hard work (and a bit of imagination!) really does pay off.
The Rebel Radio Resistors Club – Art & STEM
As part of the Midsummer Festival, the girls took part in a creative programme that blended art and STEM called The Rebel Radio Resistors Club. It was something a bit different and they really threw themselves into it – the results were fun, thoughtful, and full of personality!
STEM Projects & A Well-Earned Park Trip
The boys were very busy too– they got stuck into their own STEM projects, full of clever ideas and problem-solving. To celebrate their hard work, they had a trip to the park, which they thoroughly enjoyed (and definitely earned!).
Ice Cream Day – A Tasty Treat!
After all their efforts during standardised testing, the class were treated to a very special Ice Cream Day. There’s nothing like an ice cream on a sunny afternoon to put a smile on everyone’s face!
Yoga with Karen – A Class Favourite
One of the highlights of the term has been our regular Yoga sessions with Karen. It’s such a lovely way to slow things down, stretch out, and take a few deep breaths. We’re already looking forward to having more sessions next year.
End-of-Year Reflections & Letters to Our Future Selves
As we came to the end of the school year, we took some time for reflection. The class thought about all they’ve learned, how they’ve grown, and what they’re proud of. They also wrote letters to their future selves – full of memories, hopes, and words of encouragement to read later on down the line.
Game Creators in the Making – Scratch Projects
Finally, the class had great fun working on game-building projects using Scratch. They let their creativity run wild, designing interactive stories, games, and animations. The coding skills on show were seriously impressive!
Looking Back with Pride
It’s been a jam-packed term and a year to be proud of. The class has grown in confidence, worked hard, and had plenty of fun along the way. Well done to everyone in 4th Class – we’re all excited to see what next year brings!
